Freezing techniques have improved considerably since the arrival of vitrification. It consists in freezing at ultra-high speed with liquid nitrogen yielding 100% survival rates results. The frozen gametes may be stored for indefinite time (given periodical renewal).

In the bank, we also freeze sperm in the same conditions as the female gametes and the embryos.
